Steven M. Cohn, PhD, MBA, LMFT

The Portland Couples Counseling Center

1940 NE Broadway

Portland, OR 97232

503-282-8496

Philosophy and Approach: I work as a Relationship Specialist which means that I work exclusively with couples, relationships, and marriages. I believe that with education, practice, patience, and compassion every couple can reach an optimum state of relational health. To support couples, relationships, and marriages I employ a focused approach with a strong reliance on evidence-based therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, acceptance and commitment-based therapies, intimacy-based therapies, and sexuality-based therapies.

Formal Education and Training: I hold a PhD, LMFT in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA and I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA. My education included both coursework and supervised training related to individuals, children, couples, families, and groups. My emphasis was children, families, and couples. My post graduate education and training emphasis has been, and continues to be, couples, relationships, and marriage.

As an LMFT of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I will abide by its Code of Ethics. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Fees: My fee is $300 per hour. All of my sessions are 90 minutes long; therefore, my per session fee is $450.

As a client of an LMFT you have the following rights:

∗ To expect that an LMFT has met the minimal qualifications of training and experience required by state law:
